Atkins Diet Recipes: Sausage “Potato” Casserole (IF)

The "potato" in this recipe is jicama. I will say this be careful as you peel your jicama as I succeeded in peeling my finger this time.

Ingredients 1 pound Pork Sausage 1/2 Medium Onion 1 Medium Jicama 12 oz Cheddar Cheese 8 oz Cream Cheese 6 eggs Salt/Pepper to taste Makes 8 Servings.

Nutrition Information per Serving: 420 Calories, 32g Fat, 6.6g Total Carbs (2.1g Fiber) , 22g Protein

Atkins Diet Recipes: Fauxtatoes (IF)

My second cooking show on how to make low carb comfort foods. Fauxtatoes are a great dish to have at Thanksgiving or for those who typically have to fight to get their veggies. A couple of my kids and my wife even make cameo appearances in this video. It's the least I can do for all the taste testing I make them endure as I try new recipes. My non-low-carbing family members even like this recipe as an alternative to starchy mashed potatoes.

Try this recipe; I think it'll be a hit with you as well!

Recipe: 1 Head Cauliflower 2.5 TBS Butter 1/3 cup Heavy Cream 1 Chicken Bouillon cube 1 tsp salt White pepper to taste

Directions: * Cook Cauliflower until fork tender. Drain well.

* Place cooked cauliflower and other ingredients (crush bouillon cube first) into the food processor. Run on high until consistency of mashed potatoes. You may need to scrape the sides of the bowl a couple times to prevent lumps.

Atkins Diet Reply: Why was I successful?

In this video I reply to a user on why I was successful when others can struggle. Was it easy for me or was it sheer willpower? To me, it was a matter of the big 4 items: * Successful role models * Participant in Support Group (benefit from their wisdom) * Accountability * Other Concrete goals

Other things that helped me: * a bit of competitive spirit with weight loss * Knowing myself and my ability to NOT withstand cheats * finding others who "blazed the trail" before me and were kind of enough to share their recipes

I don't think I was special in that I think most people could follow in my steps as I followed in other successful losers. Atkins Diet: Low Carb Breakfast – not necessarily like Mom made

I deal with the question by a viewer who like I was sick of eggs and bacon, and was looking for alternative breakfast items.

My criteria for a good low carb breakfast is: * has to be quick to make * has to be easy to make * has to provide enough nutrition for morning activities and mid day exercise

I also suggest the valuable step of prepping for breakfast the night or the week before by chopping the vegetables or cooking the meat beforehand to expand your options. With that in mind, there are countless options for the 5-minute or less breakfast meals.

P90X and Atkins Diet Results Week 4

Four weeks of working out already? You betcha. It's been 30 days and I feel great. I will hit my 50 pounds lost goal soon and will make a video showing my exercise progress with that. I will also kick off the 50 pound loss by doing a 30 day juice fast. WHAT IN THE WORLD AM I THINKING? I hate juicing, I hate it so much. However, this weight needs to come off faster than it is right now. I got a life to live and this weight is holding me back. I'm ready to shed it and be done with it. Below are some stats:

Starting weight: 299 End of the water fast 264 Gained up to 281 1 month on Atkins, down to 269 1 month on Atkins and P90X: 261

I have 12 pounds to go until I hit 50 pounds down. Worth it? Yeah.... Even if I lose NO weight, I still feel stronger, my waist is getting smaller, I'm losing inches, I can walk up the stairs. I feel grateful for my life and the mobility I have and I want to keep moving so that I never lose it. Lifting weights has done me so well with my self esteem, my social anxiety, depression, and binge eating disorder (believe it or not!) Who wants to binge after they've worked out for an hour a day!? Not this girl!
